STATUS OF services

WITH EFFECT FROM 4 SEPTEMBER 2021

We thank God that our nation is moving out of the Phase Two (Heightened Alert) and church services are able to resume. As we reopen all of our on-site church services, we do so in adherence to the regulatory requirements and by keeping a close watch on the evolving situation. Here are the details for each service category.

With effect from Sunday 5 September, we will resume two on-site English services. 

  • 9:00am-10:30am, for up to 280 worshippers

  • 11:15am-12:45pm, for up to 400* worshippers (with concurrent Children’s Church & Little Lights)
    *280 worshippers in L2 auditorium and 120 worshippers in L4 auditorium.

 

All attendees need to be either: 

  • Fully vaccinated (i.e. has received the full regimen of Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnatry, Moderna or WHO EUL vaccines, with an additional two weeks for the vaccine to be fully effective, or has recovered from COVID-19), OR

  • Have received a negative result on a pre-event COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (ART) that is done within 24 hours before the end of the Sunday service (i.e. test to be taken from 12:45pm on Saturday onwards). 

 

This is a regulatory requirement for church services with more than 50 attendees. 

 

The live-streamed English service will continue to be available from 11:15am until 2:00pm. For our members who are unvaccinated, we want to extend pastoral support while keeping in mind your well-being. 

 

Everyone must register online to attend the on-site services. The link will be sent via LSBC WhatsApp broadcast every Sunday and registration begins on Sunday 8pm to Friday 9am. For registration enquiries, please contact onsiteservice@lsbc.org.sg 

 

Attending on-site service:

  • If you or your family members are unwell, please stay home to rest.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before the service for the admission process. You will need:

    • Proof of vaccination in your TraceTogether app OR a negative COVID-19 Pre-Event Test result notice (ART / PCR) 

    • TraceTogether app or token for Safe Entry check-in 

  • Follow the directional signs for the one-way flow of entry/exit. 

  • Observe safe distancing requirements. 

  • Face masks to be worn at all times.

  • Singing and mingling are not permitted.

  • Self-collection of your communion set as you enter the hall.

 

The church’s basement carpark is now in operation. Parking fees are at $1.20/hour, all day. For motorcycles, it will be $1.00 per entry. The carpark’s opening hours are:

  • Monday-Saturday, 6:30am-10pm

  • Sundays, 7:30am-2pm

  • Closed on public holidays, except during church events

ENGLISH SERVICES

English Services

The on-site Chinese Services that will resume are:

  • Sunday Chinese Services (w.e.f. 5 September), 9:00am-10:15am and 11:15am-12:30pm for up to 125 worshippers at each service timing

  • Midweek Chinese Service (w.e.f. 8 September), 1:30pm-2:45pm for up to 50 worshippers

 

For the Sunday Chinese services, all attendees need to be either:

  • Fully vaccinated (i.e. has received the full regimen of Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnatry, Moderna or WHO EUL vaccines, with an additional two weeks for the vaccine to be fully effective, or has recovered from COVID-19), OR

  • Have received a negative result on a pre-event COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (ART) that is done within 24 hours before the end of the Sunday service (i.e. test to be taken from 12:30pm on Saturday onwards).

中文堂将在2021 年9月5日恢复周日实体崇拜会。时间在上午9:00至10:15和上午11:15至中午12:30,在教堂的1楼礼堂举行。每堂的周日实体崇拜会限制为125位。

 

每位出席者须已接种两剂疫苗(第二剂接种的日期须超过14天)或从冠病康复后接种一剂疫苗,又或在24小时内由卫生部批准测试的诊所做了活动前检测(检测须在星期六下午12:30之后进行)。

 

会友须使用注册锁链上网报名出席崇拜会,并且提前15 分钟抵达教会场地。请在抵达教会场地时:

  • 出示疫苗接种的证明或活动前检测的阴性结果,和

  • 使用合力追踪应用程序或携手防疫器。

 

周三实体崇拜会将在9月8日恢复,时间和地点为下午1.30至2.45和1楼礼堂。此崇拜会限制50位出席者(免检)。会友须使用注册锁链上网报名出席崇拜会。

 

教会的地下停车场已经开始启用。停车场的收费为每小时 $1.20(全天日),摩托车的费用为 $1(一次性)。停车场的营业时间是:

  • 周一到周六:上午6:30至晚上10点

  • 周日:早上7:30至下午2点

  • 公共假期:关闭(除了教会活动日外)

Chinese Services

Children’s Church (for those aged 4-11) and Little Lights (for those aged 1-3) will resume on Sunday 24 October from 11:15am-12:45pm. Children below the age of 12 need not be vaccinated or take PET to attend Children’s Church and Little Lights. Currently, we are able to admit all the children in their classes because each class’ number and capacity are permitted under the prevailing government regulations.

 

Those attending Children’s Church (for those aged 4-11) must wear a face mask at all times and bring along their TraceTogether token or check in using their parent/guardian’s TraceTogether app upon arrival. The entry point for Children’s Church is at the Omega wing ground floor and via the Omega wing lift lobby. Here are the classroom venues:

  • Nursery – Omega wing L3 Peace

  • Kindergarten 1 – Omega wing L3 Patience

  • Kindergarten 2 – Omega wing L3 Faithfulness

  • Primary 1 – Omega wing L2 MPH

  • Primary 2 – Omega wing L2 MPH

  • Primary 3 – Omega wing Room 402 / 403 / 404

  • Primary 4 – Alpha wing Room 306 / 307 / 308

  • Primary 5 – Alpha wing Room 302 / 303

 

We seek all of our parents’ cooperation with our ushers during the dismissal of service to pick up your children.

 

Little Lights will be held in the Alpha wing Room 209. It is optional for children below 4 years old to wear a face mask. Ushers will direct the members to access Room 209 via the Alpha wing.

Children's church (4-11 years old) will be fully online on 17 October (Zoom sessions).
Both Little Lights (1-3 years old) and Children's church (4-11 years old) will resume onsite sessions on Sunday 24 October onwards.

CHILDREN's CHurcH & LITTLE LIGHTS

Childrens Church

Youth Church will resume on-site service on 4 September, from 4pm-5:30pm, and for up to 280 worshippers at L2 auditorium. Cell group meetings will follow in various rooms in church, from 5:30pm-6:30pm.

 

All attendees at the youth service need to be either:

  • Fully vaccinated (i.e. has received the full regimen of Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnatry, Moderna or WHO EUL vaccines, with an additional two weeks for the vaccine to be fully effective, or has recovered from COVID-19), OR

  • Have received a negative result on a pre-event COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (ART) that is done within 24 hours before the end of the youth service (i.e. test to be taken from 6:30pm on Friday onwards).

 

Everyone must register online to attend the on-site service. Please take note of the following:

  • If you or your family members are unwell, please stay home to rest.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before the service for the admission process. You will need:

    • Proof of vaccination in your TraceTogether app OR a negative COVID-19 Pre-Event Test result notice (ART / PCR)

    • TraceTogether app or token for Safe Entry check-in

1.Can I attend on-site service if I have taken the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination?
Yes, however you will need to undergo the Pre-Event Testing (PET) within 24 hours before the end of the church service. Only those who are fully vaccinated (i.e. have taken both doses of the vaccination for at least two weeks) need not undergo PET.

 

2. Can I attend on-site service if I have completed two doses of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine for at least 2 weeks?
Yes, the government regulations now acknowledge the range of Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnatry, Moderna and WHO EUL vaccines.

 

3. If I am unvaccinated by choice, can I still participate in any of the church services?
Yes, other than the online streaming of the services, our pastors are ready to reach out to provide additional support.

For unvaccinated youths aged 12 to 21, please contact your cell leaders to find out more details about joining the youth service.

 

4. Can I bring my child/children to attend the on-site English or Chinese service?
Yes. Children aged 12 and below need not go through PET to join the adults in the English or Chinese service as regulations state that up to 20% of the congregation size can be children aged 12 and below.

 

5. Where can I go for a PET?

6. Does the church provide any PET on-site?
No, please head to any of the clinics listed above for your PET, within 24 hours before attending the church service.

 

7. Can I do the PET using a DIY test kit bought from a pharmacy?

No, as stated by government regulations, the PET needs to be done by a MOH-approved test provider.
