The COVID-19 situation has disrupted life as it was, and challenged our focus. Faith urges us to look at the physical circumstance through God’s eyes—He is leading us through a season of refining and readying. The reality is that everyone needs God even more today.

Meanwhile, in compliance to the government’s directives, services in church will be suspended and replaced by the online video broadcast of the services. The church will provide updates periodically according to the changing situation in Singapore. Here are the details of the changes taking place with effect from Sunday 29 March 2020.

1. ENglish & CHINESE SERVICES

From now until 30 April 2020, the online video broadcast of our English and Chinese services will be available via our LSBC website every Sunday, from 9:00am to 2:00pm. The online video broadcast of the Wednesday Chinese service will also be available on that day from 1:00pm to 6:00pm.

Let us maintain a posture of worship as we attend church online.

Get ready and dressed, worship together as a family, stream the video on your largest screen, and be actively engaged throughout the service (don’t multi-task!).

2. ENGLISH & CHINESE DJ CELLS

Physical meeting as a cell group will be suspended from now until 30 April 2020. In keeping with the spirit of doing life together as the Body of Christ, cell groups can stay connected in creative ways, including video conferencing.

As part of our journey, beginning 1 April to 10 May, the church will launch a 40-day spiritual guide to help each person navigate the changing landscape. Daily tools will be provided through Whatsapp and at https://www.lsbc.org.sg/40day and https://www.lsbc.org.sg/chinese40day.

3. CHILDREN's CHURCH & RAINBOW MINISTRY

E-learning for those aged 4-11 will take the place of the children’s service on Sundays. The children’s ministry team would like to partner each family to help facilitate their children’s spiritual nurturement. Each week, Children’s Church will post a new video online together with the activity sheets. Parents will have to print the activity sheet in advance for their children to do after they finished viewing the video.

The links to the e-learning video and activity sheet will be published on the LSBC website, as well as the Children’s Church Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/LSBCchildrenschurch) by the end of Friday every week to allow time for preparation.

4. YOUTH CHURCH

From now until 30 April 2020, the youth service will be streamed online on every Saturday, 4:00pm using various platforms. Youths will be receiving the updates from their cell leaders.
